Paint Shop Pro (PSP) is a raster graphics editor and, later in the series, a vector graphics editor for computers running the Microsoft Windows operating system that was originally published by Minneapolis-based Jasc Software. In October 2004, Corel Corporation purchased Jasc Software and the distribution rights to Paint Shop Pro. PSP functionality can be extended by Photoshop-compatible plugins. They are listed in the 'Effects' menu, below the built-in effects. HistoryOriginally called simply Paint Shop, the first version, 1.0, was basic picture converter between BMP, GIF and PCX formats, released in August 1990. Paint Shop was originally distributed as shareware and is still available at many download sites (4.12 being a popular version). Newer versions are only available commercially. Corel announced, on November 28, 2007, that the office in Eden Prairie, Minnesota where Paint Shop Pro was created would be shut down, with development moved to offices in California and China. If you want it to be "see-thru," as in seeing about 60% of the background or something, then what you have to do is copy the Image #1 onto the Image #2's canvas, and then go to the right hand navigation that you have there (I use PSP 9, but I'm pretty sure it's at the same place), and toggle the gradiant next to "Raster Blah Blah" to 60%, 40%, etc. I hope the image clears things up...
