Why is the price of a barrel of oil down to 35.50 a barrel and we are still paying $1.99 a gallon ?
Q. why are people not outraged and our government not regulating prices. the minute oil rises in price they raise the price at the pump but it takes weeks or months if oil drops 1-5 dollars a barrel but the pump price stays the same.the price of a barrel has dropped about 30% in the last two weeks but i am still paying the same pump price 1.99?

A. Regualating prices is the worst idea i have ever heard of. I'm glad you are not part of our government. You are not an economist... Maybe this will explain to you a little bit about why we shouldn't have price ceilings:

What's the 6x4.5 format equivalent of a 35 mm format 50 mm normal lens?
Q. Does the "6x4.5" normal lens have the same distortion as the "35 mm" 50 mm normal lens?
Asked by dinada2938 - Sat Jul 7 03:08:59 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Yes, it does (if I understand your question correctly). The 75mm lens is considered "standard" on a 645 format camera, and it provides almost the same angle of view as does a 50mm lens on a 35mm format camera. I think you are talking about distortion in terms of it being a bit too short for portraiture (nose looks big, etc.) and also if you tip it back to photograph a building, the vertical lines converge. And the answer to this is "yes" they would be about the same. What makes them the same is that they have the same angle of view. This is not counting the differences in quality between the two lenses.

A. it would help to know your age. If your under 40, it could be early perimenopause, if your over 40 it could be perimenopause. If not, then it could just be a hormone imbalance, or your just not ovulating every month now. It could be a number of other things like infections, diseases and such. Only your doctor can tell you for sure, and it is worth going and having your hormones checked and blood work done, should give you an answer. Even women in the 20's can go into early perimenopause.

LDS - Does Alma 11:43-46 contradict 1 Corinthians 15:35-50?
Q. Alma 11:43-46 says we will be resurrected with a physical body. 1 Corinthians 15:35-50 says we will be resurrected with a spiritual body and flesh cannot inherit the kingdom of heaven. How do you reconcile the two, or do you believe 1 Corinthians 15 is not translated correctly or what do you think about these? Thanks.
Asked by Mike Matney - Wed Dec 5 12:22:59 2007 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Actually verse 45 (in Alma) says this: 45 Now, behold, I have spoken unto you concerning the death of the mortal body, and also concerning the resurrection of the mortal body. I say unto you that this mortal body is raised to an immortal body, that is from death, even from the first death unto life, that they can die no more; their spirits uniting with their bodies, never to be divided; thus the whole becoming spiritual and immortal, that they can no more see corruption. We interpret both scriptures to be saying that the resurrection transcends the corruption of mortality and that the end result is a perfect, immortal body of flesh and bone. Remember, that when Christ was resurrected, He had a physical body.

Q. Child support accumulated while he was unemployed. In this particular case, the mom targeted him (I'm safe on BC) when he made good money, then when he got in trouble she kicked him and moved on to another man who has money. I have never heard of any charities or state assistance that helps a man...they help the mom with the kids. The men end up homeless.

A product sells for $16.50 and cost doubles every 35 years. The teacher insists it reaches 36.50 in 2040. How?
Q. I dunno why, but she continues to insist that this is the answer, and there's no way I could figure it out. I graphed the general equation: y = 16.50(2)^x (where x is groups of 35 years) and then graphed y = 36.50 and used my calculator to find the point of intersection: (1.1454305). Multiplying this by 35 to get the number of actual years, I got about 40. Adding this to 1996, you get 2036. My math teacher absolutely DEMANDS that we figure out how to get it at 2040. How did she get that? She even did it to verify her work and got the same answer again. Am I insane or something? Any help is greatly appreciated! I mean that the price doubles. As in, $16.50, in 35 years, is $33. and the year that it begins is 1996, NOT 2007!!!
Asked by Heroic Zach - Tue Mar 13 17:06:33 2007 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments
A. in 1996, it's $16.50. 1996 + 35 = 2031 At 2031, the price would be $33 There are 35 years between 1996 and 2031, and so there are 35 yearly amounts that the price raises by. You can calculate that yearly amount like this: 16.5/35= $0.47 each year. 2040-1996 = a 44 year difference $0.47 x 44 years = $20.68 $20.68 + $16.50 = $37.18

Q. Esperanza uses a 35-mm camera with a standard lens of focal length 50.0 mm to take a photo of her son Carlos, who is 1.2 m tall and standing 3.0 m away. (a) What must be the distance between the lens and the film to get a properly focused picture? mm (b) What is the magnification of the image? (c) What is the height of the image of Carlos on the film? mm
Asked by cdc - Tue Apr 15 13:41:31 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. a) This part they are asking for the image distance. Use the thin lens equation to find the image distance. 1/p + 1/q = 1/f p=the distance from Carlos to the camera = 3000mm f=focal length = 50mm 1/3000 + 1/q = 1/50 q = 50.847mm b) magnification = -image distance (q) / object distance (p) = -50.847/3000 = -.0169 X c) the height of Carlos on the film is his height multiplied by the magnification. = 1200mm * .0169 = 20.28mm I hope this helps
